Server appliance custom designed to meet the needs of small and medium sized businesses
IRVINE, Ayrshire, Scotland – 20th October 2003 – Ayrsoft, provider of simple and affordable business solutions, today announced the immediate availability of icon Server. icon Server is an all-in-one hardware and software solution that provides “big company” functionality to small and medium sized businesses, at a price they can afford. It provides a secure office network that enables users to share files, printers and Internet connections, deliver email, make appointments, track customer data, and manage documents.

The icon Server system includes everything needed to create a collaborative workgroup and intranet:
Hardware Platform: icon Server comes ready to use on a powerful hardware platform which means there is no need to install software on the server.
Network Manager: The Network Manager enables the sharing of files, printers and Internet connections among multiple users, while offering the protection of advanced firewall technology.
Communications Manager: With robust email and calendaring functionality, the Communication Manager allows icon Server users to access email securely from any PC, perform group scheduling, and send automatic email meeting reminders. Built-in capabilities also remove junk email and can filter web content if desired.
Customer Relationship Manager: The Customer Relationship Manager enables businesses to track and manage employees’ interactions with customers. It offers extensive search capabilities, customisable fields, and automatic email tracking.
Knowledge Manager: With Knowledge Manager, companies can store essential documents such as templates for contracts, invoices, presentations, and marketing materials in one secure and easy to manage location. Version tracking ensures that no revisions are lost. For companies working with extremely sensitive data, secure encrypted document transfer is available.
Versions
Because every small and medium sized business has its own unique needs, icon Server is available in three different versions.
• icon Server Starter Pack is recommended for companies with simple networking needs.
• icon Server has added features, yet is still simple to manage.
• icon Server+ offers advanced network management tools for multi-site companies.
Prices begin at £999 and icon Server packages are available “off-the-shelf” for up to 150 users. Additional packages are available for companies with more than 150 users, and interested parties should contact Ayrsoft directly to discuss their needs.
